QCup At Oulton Hall 

We held the QCup at Oulton Hall this year to defend last year's victory at Forest Pines. The team consisting of: Michael Russell, Damien Bowles, Russ Crapper and Trevor Marshall set the pace quickly but towards the end of a long day the heat must have kicked in as they helped prop up the bottom of the table. Forest Pines took the victory taking away with them the QCup and they will be holding the event next year again.

   

Club Championships 

The Club Championships were held at Oulton Hall last weekend, the weather stayed strong and it was a draw coming into the close of day 2. 

Ryan Beach and Andrew Graham both shot a total of 148 and on the first playoff hole Ryan made a brilliant birdie hitting a great lob shot onto the green. This helped him tap in a nice putt for birdie.

New Director Of Golf 

Our current Director of Golf Paul Dennis is parting ways with Qhotels after 10 months running and growing the golf department. 

Paul has been a pleasure to work with and has brought some fantastic knowledge and assistance to the team over this period bringing some of his overseas experience with him and leaving it with us to help grow the club and the company. 

His replacement will be Jon Pilkington who used to be with us a few years back in the sales team and is now back as Director of Golf. Jon has always had his eyes on Oulton Hall ever since he left so after the vacancy came up he couldn't resist. 

It would be great if we could all make Jon feel welcome when you see him in and around the facilities.

 

Maximise your points usage with Qhotels 

It is now possible to use your points on an overnight stay on a Sunday evening. 

- Members must be a 200 points member or have 200 points in his/her account. 
- Members can't use their points on a bank holiday Sunday or at the Midland hotel. 
- The booking window is 14 days. 
- Members to use 25 points per stay.

Hole In One 

On the 27th Hole, John Riordan hit a sweet shot in the competition on Tuesday straight into the hole; luckily he is insured as he may have had a bit of a bar bill to pay off.
