Congratulations to all the winners of trophies this year, we are already looking forward to presenting the trophies next year to our 14 winners.
With the 25th tee path complete we are waiting for a run of good weather so we can finish the renovation of the white tee. The next project is to improve the drainage system which will prevent the bunkers becoming flooded on the arrival of heavy rain. Therefore the old draining system will be replaced with a new one. The work will start on holes 1-9 on the 15th of December hence the reason why holes 1-9 will be closed this week. As with our last message the greens, fairways and tees cutting will continue until the frosts are more frequent.

Getting the right Junior Equipment
Christmas is coming and its a very common time of year to upgrade your child’s clubs as they make a fantastic christmas present, however selecting the wrong clubs for your child can severely hinder their development and interest in the game as a result so here are a few tips on selecting the right clubs for your child.
Don’t get cut off clubs. Cut-off adult clubs have been the standard for children’s use for many years, but many adult golfers wrestle with poor swing habits as a result of their start with cut-off clubs due to them being too heavy and stiff. This takes us onto the first area to consider when selecting golf clubs for children which is club weight.

Will Tiger’s new coach be the answer?
A few weeks ago Tiger Woods revealed his new ‘swing consultant’ is to be the little known 37 year old Chris Como, while this will undoubtably catapult Como into the the goldfish bowl of golfs elite coaching, will it be the answer to get Tiger back on top of the world?
Tiger has now had four coaches throughout his Professional career and while he had huge success with Butch Harmon and Hank Haney the one thing that is for sure is that it wasn’t working with his recent coach Sean Foley. That is not me saying Foley is not a good coach he’s had great success with other players, but after all its a results game and while there were glimmers that Tiger was making a return to form it never really happened.
